1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Snoutgram mobile application and related services ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Snoutgram.
- If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms.
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
- One person may not maintain more than one account.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your account credentials secure
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Content Rules
Snoutgram is a pet-focused platform. By posting content, you agree:
You WILL NOT post content that:
- Contains nudity, explicit sexual content, or adult material
- Depicts animal abuse, cruelty, or harm
- Contains graphic violence or gore
- Promotes hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
- Includes spam, scams, or misleading information
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights
- Contains personal information of others without their consent
Community Guidelines:
- Content should primarily feature pets and pet-related topics
- Treat other users and their pets with respect
- Do not impersonate other users or public figures
- Do not use the platform for commercial spam or unsolicited advertising
Content Moderation: We use automated tools (Google Vision SafeSearch) and human review to enforce these rules. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.
5. Your Content and Licenses
You retain ownership of content you post on Snoutgram. By posting content, you grant Snoutgram a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to:
- Display and distribute your content within the Snoutgram platform
- Use your content for app features like "Snout of the Day"
- Store and cache your content for performance
This license ends when you delete your content or account, subject to content that has been shared by others.
6. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service
- Scrape or harvest user data without permission
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Service
- Attempt to access another user's account
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Sell, transfer, or license your account to others
7. Pack (Follow) System
Snoutgram uses a mutual follow system called "Pack". Direct Messages are only available between users who are in each other's Pack. You may remove any user from your Pack at any time.
8. Lost Pet Alerts
Lost Pet Alert content is provided in good faith by users. Snoutgram does not verify the accuracy of lost pet information. We are not responsible for outcomes related to lost pet alerts.
9. Intellectual Property
The Snoutgram name, logo, app design, and all platform features are owned by Snoutgram and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written consent.
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We do not guarantee the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which for a free app is $0)
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service ends immediately
- Your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy
- Content you posted that others have shared may remain
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
